Hi all!

Thanks to one magic fairy, I received a wonderful package from Israel. Having tried what was given to me, I was satisfied and even found a favorite that I don’t want to part with. Today we will talk about serum for the skin around the eyes Dead Sea Products Mineral Care Essential Eye Serum.

Only the lazy have not heard about the Dead Sea cosmetics rich in useful substances. Healing water containing natural salts and minerals that can soothe and restore the skin is considered miraculous.

The famous AHAVA and Holy Land are examples of high-quality and effective products, but I got acquainted with a brand that I had never heard of before. According to a friend, there are quite a lot of inexpensive local brands in Israel that specialize in producing products containing Dead Sea water and mud.

The water in the saltiest sea in the world consists of 32% salt and also contains minerals that stimulate metabolism, strengthen the cell membrane, improve blood circulation in the subcutaneous layer, maintain the biochemical balance of the skin and protect against the negative influence of the external environment and dehydration.

Sulfur plays an important role in removing toxins; content chlorine maintains the correct acid-base balance, which is important for cellular metabolism; iodine stimulates the production of thyroxine, a hormone important in metabolism; potassium maintains water balance and helps nutrients penetrate the skin layers faster; magnesium, zinc and calcium cleanses and mattifies without compromising the protective properties of the skin.

To tell the truth, I didn’t have much hope for this serum, but the product turned out to be pleasant and, most importantly, effective.

Dead Sea Products Mineral Care Essential Eye Serum

A lightweight and nourishing serum rich in healing Dead Sea minerals, seaweed and green tea extracts, and microcapsules of vitamin C, specially formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. The dermatologically tested formula helps smooth wrinkles, reduce puffiness and puffiness, and lighten dark circles. Does not contain artificial colors or flavors.

Green tea - a natural antioxidant and biostimulant containing valuable amino acids, proteins and enzymes that can soothe, normalize metabolic processes in the subcutaneous layers, smooth and remove toxins.
Seaweed contain Omega-3 fatty acids, polysaccharides, lignins, enzymes, phenolic compounds, vitamins, macro- and microelements, as well as alginic acid. Seaweed extract perfectly nourishes the skin, stimulates blood circulation, has a cooling, tightening and anti-edematous effect, evens out the skin structure and saturates it with oxygen.
Vitamin C - a powerful antioxidant, brightens the skin, helps in collagen production

The product is in a laconic gray box with a “window”
Despite its intended use for normal skin, the serum can be suitable for any type, including sensitive ones.
A simple tube of translucent frosted glass, through which you can see the level of product residue, and a gray metal dispenser with the same lid
The dispenser, by the way, is a failure: it literally “spits” the serum out of the spout, and does so immediately in an amount that would be enough for 2-3 uses of the product. Thank you that the manufacturers did not make a monolithic bottle and it is possible to unscrew the dispenser and use the product by pouring it from the bottle onto your fingers, although this way the product oxidizes more and thickens over time. It would be better if they made a pipette.
Due to such an inconvenient dispenser, 15 ml of product runs out after 2 months, which is not very economical (subject to regular use 2 times a day).

The composition turned out to be not so innocent. Yes, the serum contains all sorts of useful minerals and extracts, but the presence of parabens has tarnished the reputation a little.

The serum is liquid, gel-like, cloudy white in color.
At the same time, it is also fluid
This serum is designed to work in tandem with a cream for the skin around the eyes: after washing, the serum is initially applied to clean, dry skin, and then the cream.

The smell of the product is unobtrusive and neutral, but you can still feel it: it smells like cold green tea with milk.

The serum is absorbed within 1.5 minutes, after which the aroma is no longer felt.

It’s nice that the skin immediately feels cool (not menthol, but rather just freshness) and moisturized. Moreover, this feeling remains for the next 4 hours.

During the daytime in the summer, just serum is enough for me: its light but moisturizing consistency does the job quite well. At night, as well as in winter, it is better to use it together with a cream (any cream, as practice has shown), the moisturizing properties of the product may not be enough.

I was pleased not only with the feeling after use, but also with the long-term effect. In the first days it is too early to talk about results, such products begin to show themselves only over time: due to moisturizing, wrinkles are slightly smoothed out, the skin is strengthened and tightened, dark circles under the eyes become lighter, and this is not a visual effect, there are no reflective particles in the serum, but influence on blood circulation and water balance (and since I also sleep for 4 hours, this effect is even more pleasing). While using the product, I noticed that my eyelids did not swell or become red, which is usually the case with my sensitive skin around the eyes. The serum helps remove swelling under the eyes (I used to have swelling above my cheekbones in the morning that didn’t go away quickly).
Even when applied solo, the serum does not conflict with the makeup base or shadows, does not clump, has no film or heaviness, and in general, apart from moisturizing, is not felt at all on the skin.

As a result, I am satisfied with the product: this serum has become a good daily helper. It will not replace full-fledged skin care, which only cream can provide, but it will serve as a good addition.

Price: gift ($42 from distributors outside the country)
Testing period: 2 months daily 2 times a day (morning and evening), solo and under cream
Grade: 4 (reducing a point for being uneconomical and having a problematic dispenser)

What do you think about Israeli cosmetics? Are there any unpopular/under-advertised products in your arsenal that you like? And do you use serums for the skin around your eyes, or is cream usually sufficient?
