Acetylsalicylic acid-Rusfar

Acetylsalicylic acid-Rusfar: anti-inflammatory drug from Russia

Acetylsalicylic acid-Rusfar (ASA-Rusfar) is an anti-inflammatory agent, a derivative of salicylic acid. ASA-Rusfar is produced by Rusichi-Pharma in Russia and is an analogue of the internationally famous drug Aspirin.

ASA-Rusfar is available in the form of 500 mg tablets containing the active substance acetylsalicylic acid. The drug is used for the treatment of rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, infectious-allergic myocarditis, pain syndrome of various etiologies, including headache, migraine, toothache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, algodismenorrhea, as well as for the prevention of thrombosis and thromboembolism, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease , unstable angina, cardiac arrhythmias, etc.

However, ASA-Rusfar has contraindications. You should not use the drug in case of hypersensitivity to its components, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute phase, gastrointestinal bleeding, “aspirin” asthma, bleeding disorders, vitamin K deficiency, severe renal failure, the first trimester of pregnancy, lactation. In addition, the drug should be prescribed with caution to patients with gout, liver disease, and children under 12 years of age with hyperthermia due to viral diseases.

ASA-Rusfar may cause side effects such as nausea, anorexia, gastralgia, diarrhea, erosive and ulcerative lesions, bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, allergic reactions (skin rash, bronchospasm), renal and/or liver failure, thrombocytopenia. With prolonged use, dizziness, headache, reversible visual impairment, tinnitus, vomiting, bleeding, etc. may occur. In susceptible patients, ASA-Rusfar may cause bronchospasm.

The interaction of ASA-Rusfar with other drugs should also be taken into account. ASA-Rusfar enhances the effect of heparin, oral anticoagulants, reserpine, steroid hormones and oral antidiabetic agents, and reduces the effect of antihypertensive drugs. Simultaneous administration with other non-steroidal and anti-inflammatory drugs, methotrexate increases the risk of side effects.

An overdose of ASA-Rusfar may result in the development of salicylic syndrome, which is manifested by nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, general malaise, and fever. More severe poisoning can lead to stupor, convulsions and coma, non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, acid-base imbalance and other serious consequences.

During long-term therapy with ASA-Rusfar, it is recommended to regularly monitor the function of the liver, kidneys and blood, as well as monitor the condition of the gastrointestinal tract.

Overall, ASA-Rusfar is an effective and affordable anti-inflammatory drug, but its use should only be carried out as prescribed by a doctor and in compliance with contraindications and warnings about side effects.
