Adenine mononucleotide

Adenine mononucleotide (obsolete) - an organic compound, a nucleotide, consisting of one phosphoric acid residue, ribose and adenine. It is a structural component of important coenzymes such as NAD, FAD and CoA. Plays an important role in cellular metabolism, energy transfer and ATP synthesis. Previously widely used in biochemical research, its use is now limited due to the advent of more modern methods. However, adenine mononucleotide remains a fundamental compound underlying the processes of cellular respiration and metabolism.
