Graafian vesicle adenoma is a type of tumor in the gonads that is usually found in the testicles in men or ovaries in women. This malignant process usually originates from tissue called granulosa cell tissue or germinal epithelium. The development of Graafian vesicle adenoma causes an enlargement of this organ, pressure on surrounding tissues and the further appearance of soreness and painful sensations associated with the work of the gland.
Incidence, age, sex, and race have no definite correlation with this condition, but some studies have linked Graafian bladder adenoma to abnormalities in the brain.
