Aphasia (acquired) is a term denoting a disease that results in a significant reduction in the ability to communicate and understand speech in individuals with aphasia. There are motor, sensory and mixed aphasia. With aphasia, understanding of oral speech is impaired; the preservation of the semantic aspects of speech is partially disrupted in the form of a decrease in the volume of the utterance and a certain narrowing of its lexical content while maintaining the elementary motivational core (for example, “give me some bread”). Motor aphasia causes difficulty pronouncing words. Sensory aphasia is characterized by
