Anavenol is a medicine belonging to the pharmacological group of angioprotectors. Anavenol is produced in the Czech Republic by the companies Galena AS, Lechiva j.o. and Spofa Prague.

Anavenol is available in the form of drops and tablets and contains active ingredients such as dihydroergocristine mesylate, esculin and rutin. These components have an angioprotective effect, improve blood circulation and reduce vascular disorders.

Anavenol is used to treat various diseases of the vascular system, including chronic vascular insufficiency, varicose veins, post-varicose and post-thrombotic syndrome, leg ulcers, thrombophlebitis and post-traumatic circulatory disorders.

Despite the effectiveness of Anavenol, it has contraindications and side effects that must be taken into account. The use of the medicine for bleeding is contraindicated. Side effects may include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, allergic skin reactions, swelling of the nasal mucosa, metro- and menorrhagia.
