Dosage forms: effervescent powder, tablets, lemon-flavored powder, powder for oral solution

Ingredients: Paracetamol + Phenylephrine + Chlorphenamine.

Indications for use: Fever due to colds and other infectious and inflammatory diseases, moderate or mild pain syndrome (including headache, myalgia, sore throat, dysmenorrhea), allergic conditions of the upper respiratory tract (nasal congestion, sneezing , rhinitis).

Contraindications:

  1. genetic absence of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
  2. blood diseases;
  3. severe liver or kidney dysfunction;
  4. Gilbert's syndrome (constitutional hyperbilirubinemia);
  5. pregnancy;
  6. lactation;
  7. children under 12 years of age;
  8. hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effect:

From the hematopoietic system: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis.

From the digestive system: dyspepsia; liver dysfunction.

From the urinary system: urinary retention, impaired renal function.

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria.

Other: tachycardia, lethargy, lethargy.

Interaction:

When the drug is used simultaneously with barbiturates, diphenin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, zidovudine and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes, the risk of its hepatotoxic effect increases.

Simultaneous use of the drug with indirect anticoagulants (including warfarin) increases the risk of bleeding.

CNS depressants (barbiturates, ethanol, opioid analgesics) increase the sedative effect of the drug when used simultaneously.

When used simultaneously, the drug enhances the effect of MAO inhibitors.

When used simultaneously with drugs that have anticholinergic activity (atropine, some antidepressants), the anticholinergic effect is enhanced.

Combined use with tricyclic antidepressants can lead to a sharp increase in blood pressure.

Concomitant use with glucocorticoids increases the risk of developing glaucoma.

Overdose:

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, stomach pain; in severe cases - psychomotor agitation, dizziness, loss of appetite, renal failure, encephalopathy and coma.

Treatment: the victim should undergo gastric lavage, prescribe activated charcoal and a laxative.

Special instructions:

The drug should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver and kidney function, chronic heart disease, hyperthyroidism and elderly patients.

To avoid toxic liver damage, the drug should not be combined with alcoholic beverages, nor should it be taken by persons prone to chronic alcoholism.
