Apo-Trifluoperazine

Apo-Trifluoperazine is an antipsychotic, a phenothiazine derivative.

Produced in Canada by Apotex Inc, Apotex/Vector-Pharm, Apotex/Farmavid and in Russia - Vector-Pharm.

The international name of the drug is Trifluoperazine. Also known under the trade names Stelazine, Trazine, Trifluoperazine, Triftazine, Escazine.

Available in the form of tablets 1mg, 2mg, 5mg, 10mg, 20mg and coated tablets 2mg, 5mg, 10mg.

The active substance is trifluoperazine.

Indications for use: psychosis, schizophrenia, hallucinations, delusions, psychomotor agitation, vomiting of central origin.

Contraindicated for diseases of the liver, kidneys, blood, heart, and during pregnancy.

Side effects: extrapyramidal disorders, liver damage, agranulocytosis, allergic reactions.

Strengthens the effect of alcohol, sleeping pills, tranquilizers and narcotic analgesics.
