Artery Brain Caudal

The cerebral caudal artery (lat. Arteria cerebralis caudalis; synonym: caudal artery, caudal vertebral artery) is a branch of the internal carotid artery, extending from it in the caudal direction and supplying the cerebellum, medulla oblongata and spinal cord.

The cerebral artery is the posterior caudal artery, passing in the posterior cranial fossa through the foramen magnum and dividing into two terminal branches - the superior and inferior cerebellar, which supply blood to the cerebellum in the form of its hemispheres and the vermis.
