Today I want to share with you my experience of using Garnier Fructis SOS-recovery strengthening balm rinse
for split ends and very damaged hair.

I purchased this balm a couple of weeks ago and today I can finally share my impression of it.

Well, firstly, the new cool design of these balms is already more attractive.

I liked the new bright orange design of the tube made of denser and harder plastic, even the cap began to look even more interesting, and the tube itself seemed to be smoother.

It’s really nice to hold such packaging in your hands) This is a plus.

I also liked the aroma, but nothing radically new. Really pleasant, bright, rich aroma as if of tropical fruits, somewhat reminiscent of passion fruit and mango. Moreover, the aroma turned out to be quite persistent; after drying, the hair still smelled great of fruit. Again a plus.

Well, what kind of filling is hidden behind the beautiful packaging?
In fact, nothing good turned out to be.

The consistency is medium thick, even difficult to squeeze out of the tube.

First impressions when I just applied it to my hair: oh well, another failure (Somehow my hair didn’t immediately accept the balm, didn’t begin to unravel under its influence, and my fingers constantly clung to numerous knots. But I always apply the balm several times. I wash it off again I distribute it, and if nothing happens this time, the balm goes on the shelf. But, fortunately, the hair reacted a little better this time, I felt it smoothing out and unraveling. But, I won’t say that it’s just wow. That’s even from Garnier with honey and propolis had a much better effect, it acts on the hair very quickly and detangles and smoothes it instantly. In this case, there was no immediate effect, and even I had to try to comb the whole thing well later.

Let's see what happened BEFORE using the balm. I won’t say that everything is bad, but my hair is very tangled.

And by the way, the manufacturer writes on the packaging that the balm is paraben-free and that it can eliminate a whole year of damage in just 3 applications.

I can say one thing, this balm-rinse clearly contains less silicones than even the same Garnier honey and propolis, since there is no instant smoothing effect. But, on the other hand, like any girl, I want quick results and for my hair to comb well and shine. I didn’t fully notice this effect from the balm.

I’ll also say about eliminating a whole year of damage in three applications; in my opinion, this is a good advertising ploy. In fact, I didn’t notice any major changes, that’s for sure. I understand that not everything that is written needs to be believed, but still, why write if it is not so.

As a result, I can say that I personally never expect a miraculous recovery from such inexpensive balms, but what I expect from them is a quick result, quick smoothing and shine, which is what most cheap balms provide me with. And expensive products and natural oils are used as restoration.

Garnier SOS restoration does not give quick results, but I don’t believe that it is capable of restoring hair, the composition is too empty, unfortunately.

I can’t rate it higher than 3 points, since the beautiful shell hid the not-so-good filling. As a result, you have to try really hard to even comb your hair.

I choose one specific day of the week when I have an extra 5 minutes. I wash my hair with regular shampoo and apply this balm to washed, wrung out hair. Only once a week, more will make it heavier. I wear it from bottom to top. The higher, the less abundant. I cover the ends very generously, and further up about 10 cm it’s less. I hold it for about 3-5 minutes. This is quite enough for my hair. I don't warm it up with anything. Then I wash it off with warm water and rinse with cold water.

My impressions

The balm is simply amazing. It perfectly nourishes the hair without weighing it down. Its effect can be compared to that of a nourishing mask.

Already while rinsing off the balm, I can feel my hair feeling nourished. They seem to be thicker and thicker to the touch. The hair itself is very smooth, lying close to each other.
