Bifikol dry is used for the treatment of acute dysentery with the development of severe intestinal dysbiosis, concomitant gastrointestinal diseases, intolerance to chemotherapy drugs, after-treatment of convalescents of dysentery, salmonellosis and mixed intestinal infections in the case of a protracted infectious process, post-dysenteric colitis, prolonged and chronic forms of dysentery, colitis and enterocolitis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis, as well as viral diarrhea against the background of dysbacteriosis.

The drug is not recommended to be taken simultaneously with antibiotics. Side effects and interactions with other medications are not yet known. There is no evidence of overdose.

Persons with high stomach acidity are recommended to drink 0.5 glasses of mineral water (Borjomi, Essentuki No. 4 or No. 17) or a solution of sodium bicarbonate (0.5 teaspoon per glass of water) 5-10 minutes before taking Bifikol.
