Horseflies belong to the order Diptera and are the most prominent members of the flea family. They feed on the blood of animals and humans, which is why they are often known as blood-sucking insects. But there are several more species that feed on non-blood fluids or even plant foods. Horseflies, contrary to popular belief, are not all black. Some species have a color similar to the structure of their wings - the wings are blue, green, yellow. They also come in different sizes - from 4 mm to 36 mm. Most often they do not fly, but walk on the ground. Insects do not have a complete development cycle in their familiar environment - on the ground; they always begin their life journey in the form of larvae, then turn into adults. During
