Cardiket

Cardiket is an antianginal agent belonging to the group of nitrates and nitrites. The drug is produced in Germany by Schwarz Pharma AG and contains the active substance isosorbide dinitrate.

Cardiket is used for angina pectoris to relieve and prevent attacks, as well as for acute myocardial infarction, acute left ventricular failure, hypertension and congestive heart failure.

Contraindications to the use of Cardiket include hypersensitivity to isosorbide dinitrate, anemia, cerebral hemorrhage or recent head trauma, glaucoma, hyperthyroidism, hypotension, pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding must be suspended), and childhood.

When using Cardiket, side effects may occur, such as flushing of the face and neck, headache, nausea, vomiting, orthostatic hypotension, restlessness and tachycardia. Also, the interaction of Cardiket with antihypertensive drugs, tricyclic antidepressants and alcohol can increase hypotension, and sympathomimetics can reduce the antianginal effect.

In case of an overdose of Cardiket, symptoms such as cyanosis of the lips and nails, severe dizziness or fainting, a feeling of pressure in the head, weakness, shortness of breath, weak and rapid heartbeat, increased body temperature and convulsions may occur. Treatment in such cases should be symptomatic.

To prevent the development of tolerance, it is recommended that after 3-6 weeks of regular use of Cardiket, take a break for 3-5 days.

Thus, Cardiket is an effective antianginal drug used for the relief and prevention of angina attacks, as well as for the treatment of other diseases of the cardiovascular system. However, before using Cardiket, you should consult your doctor and read the instructions for use.
