Cephalex

Cephalex is a drug that is used to treat infections of the upper respiratory tract and ENT organs. It belongs to the group of antibiotics - first generation cephalosporins.

Cephalex is manufactured in Germany by Zt-Arzneimittel Hemische Teplhof GmbH. The international name of the drug is Cephalexin. In Russia it has several synonyms, for example, Apo-Cephalex, Klorcef and Palitrex.

The drug is available in the form of film-coated tablets in dosages of 500 and 1000 mg. The active ingredient of Cephalex - cephalexin - has a wide spectrum of action against various bacteria, including streptococci, staphylococci and pneumococci.

Indications for the use of Cephalex include infections of the ENT organs, such as otitis media, tonsillitis and sinusitis. It can also be used to treat other mild to moderate infections.
