Cirrhosis of the Liver Diffuse

Liver cirrhosis is the irreversible replacement of liver parenchyma with fibrous connective tissue that does not have the functions of the organ. Diffuse cirrhosis develops when this process spreads from one or more lobes to the entire parenchyma. Symptoms usually appear several years after infection or other diseases. What does diffuse form mean?
