Cystotomy High

High cystotomy is usually called an operation during which, by surgical dissection of tissue, the wall of the bladder is exposed, but its walls themselves are not dissected, that is, catheterization of the bladder is not performed. With the help of a cystotome, not a full, but a semilunar incision is made (since all layers of its wall converge along the perimeter of the bladder). The bladder is open transversely and free for inspection.

Most often, such surgical interventions are performed using the intracavitary optical or urethrovesical method.

After completion of the operation, the patient remains in the hospital for 5-7 days, where he undergoes a recovery period. In the case of excision of not just the outer layers of the organ wall, but also deeper tissues, there is a high risk of blood loss, infections and wound complications (formation of lead wounds, nephrosclerosis, etc.), and the appearance of adhesions.
