Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole)

Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) is a drug from the group of antiplatelet agents, which is produced in Germany by Berlin-Chemie AG. The active ingredient is dipyridamole, which is contained in film-coated tablets dosed at 25 mg.

Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) is used for the prevention of thromboembolic syndrome after heart valve replacement surgery, the prevention of occlusion of stents and coronary artery bypass grafts in combination with aspirin, as well as for the treatment and prevention of disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome in children with infectious toxicosis and septicemia.

In addition, Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) can be used for peripheral vascular lesions, prevention of placental insufficiency during complicated pregnancy, three-component treatment of glomerulonephritis, platelet suppression syndrome in children, dipyridamole-thallium-201 perfusion scintigraphy with exercise, dipyridamole stress echocardiography.

Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to dipyridamole, acute myocardial infarction, severe atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary vessels with a developed system of collaterals, as well as a predisposition to hypotension, severe intraventricular conduction disorders, severe arterial hypertension, severe liver dysfunction, hemorrhagic diathesis, obstructive pulmonary diseases, in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, as well as in children and adolescents under 12 years of age.

When using Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole), side effects may occur, such as nausea, abdominal discomfort, facial flushing, coronary steal syndrome, headaches, dizziness, bleeding, hypotension, thrombocytopenia, changes in the functional properties of platelets, tachycardia, bradycardia, weakness and rash.

Interaction of Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) with other drugs may lead to an increase or decrease in its effect. Thus, antacids can reduce the maximum concentration of the drug due to reduced absorption, and indirect anticoagulants and aspirin can enhance its effect. Prosymptomatic therapy may be ineffective in case of overdose of Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole), so treatment must be carried out under the supervision of a physician.

Taking Curantil N25 (Dipyridamole) may cause changes in the response to some tests, such as thyroid-stimulating hormone tests, catecholamine metabolite tests, and nucleic acid metabolite tests.

In general, when using Curantyl N25 (Dipyridamole), you must be careful and follow the instructions for use, as well as monitor for possible side effects and consult your doctor if they occur.
