Dosage forms: retard tablets 80 mg
Composition: Active substance - Pentaerythrityl tetranitrate.
Indications for use: Chronic heart failure (as part of complex therapy), angina pectoris (prevention).
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, severe arterial hypotension, collapse, shock; acute myocardial infarction with arterial hypotension; traumatic brain injury, angle-closure glaucoma, cerebrovascular accident (especially hemorrhagic stroke).
Side effect:

From the nervous system and sensory organs: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, weakness, increased fatigue, anxiety.

From the cardiovascular system and blood: decreased blood pressure, orthostatic hypotension, tachycardia.

From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, diarrhea.

Other: allergic reactions, increased sweating.
Interaction:

Propranolol enhances the antianginal effect.

Dihydroergotamine may reduce the antianginal effect.
Overdose: No information.
Special instructions:

During therapy it is necessary to avoid alcohol consumption.

With long-term therapy, tolerance may develop; the risk of addiction is reduced when taken once a day in combination with other antianginal drugs.

Not used to relieve angina attacks due to the slow development of the effect.
