Dimecoline

Dimecoline is a drug belonging to the group of ganglion blockers.

The international name of the drug is dimecolinium iodide.

Ganglion blockers block the transmission of nerve impulses in the autonomic ganglia. This leads to a decrease in sympathetic influences on organs and tissues.

Dimecoline has a ganglion-blocking effect, dilates blood vessels, and lowers blood pressure.

The drug is used for hypertension, angina, migraine. It reduces spasm of coronary vessels, increases coronary blood flow, and reduces myocardial oxygen demand.

Dimecoline is available in the form of tablets and solution for intravenous and intramuscular administration.
