Erythema calcified (lat. eritema circumscriptum) is a form of toxicoderma, a rare inflammatory skin disease that can manifest itself in various forms and, as a rule, has characteristic symptoms. This disease is characterized by acute inflammation of the skin, but can sometimes be associated with various pathologies, especially with a severe allergic reaction. Thus, scalloped erythema refers to an acute form of allergic skin lesions. It cannot be ignored, as it can trigger the development of other serious diseases.
Signs of scaly erythema are lesions in various areas of the skin. Various rashes and peeling may appear in the neck, back, arms and legs. As a rule, the size of spots of erythematous dermatitis is slightly larger than normal, mainly reaching 2–3 cm. It is also worth noting that in erythema calcification there is redness around the rashes, they are often covered with blisters and indurations, and are also accompanied by itching
