Fililun - coppice

Essence.
Dioscorides states that the fililune grows in rocky places and that it has a species called tiligunun, that is, “female.” It resembles duckweed, and its leaves are greener than olive leaves. Its stem is thin and short, and its flowers are white. Its seeds are small, but larger than poppy seeds.

There is another type of fililun called arinugunun, that is, “bearing male offspring.” It is similar to the first, but differs from it in regard to the seeds, since the fruits of this fililun are similar to the fruits of the olive and hang in the form of a cluster.

Properties.
They say that if a pregnant woman drinks it, her child will be male, and if she drinks another fililun, her child will be female. This was expressed by the wise Crates and he allegedly tested this remedy and made it public after the test. But these are almost empty words.
