First aid for disasters

During a natural or man-made disaster, mass casualties occur among people in need of assistance. In addition to medical workers, the population is actively involved. Therefore, the population should not only know, but also be able to practically perform elements of first aid to victims.
When providing first aid, first of all it is necessary to stop the effect of damaging factors on the body: remove the victim from the burning building, extinguish the burning or smoldering clothes on him; free from under the rubble from the effects of electric current; if the area is contaminated with SDYAV, put on a gas mask.
For victims in serious condition, if necessary, perform pulmonary-cardiac resuscitation, stop bleeding, and ensure limb immobility in case of fractures or dislocations.
It is necessary to provide first aid to the injured person not only quickly and correctly, but also carefully so as not to cause pain or shock.
