Fluorouracil

Fluorouracil is a medicine that is used to treat malignant tumors. It belongs to a group of antimetabolites that block cell growth and cause cell death.

Fluorouracil is manufactured in Bosnia and manufactured by Bosnalek. It has several synonyms such as Fluorouracil and Fivoflu. Fluorouracil is available in the form of an injection solution containing the active substance - fluorouracil in a dosage of 250 mg.

Indications for the use of Fluorouracil include malignant tumors of the breast, stomach, pancreas and rectum. However, it is not recommended for patients with cachexia, bone marrow aplasia, or severe systemic infections.

Side effects of Fluorouracil may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fatigue and anemia. These side effects usually go away once treatment is started and can be reduced by changing the dose or using other treatments.

In general, Fluorouracil is an effective drug for the treatment of some types of cancer, but its use must be carefully controlled and accompanied by medical supervision.
