Volhard is a German doctor who developed a test called the Volhard test to diagnose kidney disease. This test is based on measuring the volume of urine excreted over a certain period of time.
Volgarde's biography is also interesting. She was born in Hamburg in 1846 and was the daughter of a simple miller. However, she decided to become a doctor and entered the medical university of Breslau. There she completed her studies and began her career working in various hospitals and scientific laboratories.
In 1867, Volgarda first presented her method for studying a kidney disease called proteina.
