Hemichromatopsia

Hemichromatopy and hemiachromatopsic (hemachromatopia from Greek, hemich - half, chroma - color), a type of achromatopy. Named by mistake. It is characterized by a complete absence of perception of red colors and mixed red stimuli, residual perception of some shades of red, as well as the possibility of compensated perception of intermediate shades between red and violet. This is a rare, inherited color vision disorder in which red colors are not perceived.
