Hemorrhoids Internal

Internal hemorrhoids are a medical condition in which the veins of the inside of the rectum and anus become inflamed or dilated. It can happen at any age, but is most common in people over 40 years of age. Symptoms may include pressure, bleeding, itching and burning in the rectum. Causes of internal hemorrhoids include genetics, heredity, chronic constipation and pregnancy. Treatment for internal hemorrhoids may include creams and ointments, dietary changes (including increasing dietary fiber), and lifestyle changes (such as regular exercise). However, if symptoms do not go away or worsen, you should consult a doctor for more accurate diagnosis and treatment. Typically, conservative treatments such as compression techniques are used as an adjunct to surgery, and surgery is usually only attempted in the most severe cases.
