Gentamicin ointment
Gentamicin ointment is an antibacterial agent for external use from the group of aminoglycoside antibiotics.
Compound:
- Active substance: gentamicin 0.1%.
Pharmachologic effect:
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. Has a bactericidal effect against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
Indications for use:
Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes caused by sensitive microorganisms.
Contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to gentamicin;
- pregnancy;
- children under 3 years of age.
Use with caution in renal and liver failure.
Side effects:
allergic reactions.
Application:
Apply a thin layer to the affected area of skin 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease.
Gentamicin ointment should not be mixed with other medications.
Storage conditions and periods:
Store in a cool, dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Shelf life - 2 years. Keep out of the reach of children.
