Gnathodynamometry

The gnathodynamic method for studying chewing function (GDMIF) is one of the most informative and objective methods for determining chewing efficiency. This method is based on measuring the strength of the masticatory muscles and determining its changes during the chewing process.

GDMIGF is carried out using special devices - a gnathodynamometer, which allows you to determine the strength of the masticatory muscles in dynamics. During the study, the patient must bite off pieces of chewing material, for example, edible gelatin, and after each bite, determine the force of chewing using a gnathodynamometer.

The results of the study make it possible to determine the degree of chewing efficiency and identify possible disturbances in the functioning of the chewing system. GDMIF can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and disorders of the dental system, such as periodontal disease, caries, diseases of the temporomandibular joint, etc.

Thus, the gnathodynamic method is an important tool for determining chewing functionality, as well as for the diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases.

Gnathodynamyometry is a modern and effective method for determining chewing forces in dental practice. This method is used to determine the ability of teeth, surrounding tissues and the bite as a whole to perceive the force that occurs during chewing. Using this method, it becomes possible to determine the causes of diseases of the teeth and oral cavity, as well as carry out effective treatment and prevention.

Gnathodinometric installation in dentistry allows you to determine the direction and magnitude of the force created by the teeth and connective tissues in the jawbone. To carry out the analysis, special devices are used - gnathodyne meters. Structurally, gnathodynamics are complex devices that can measure strength not only in the chewing muscles, but also in the facial muscles. Some designs are made in the form of floor scales on a tripod, where the platform corresponds to digital indicators in the same units of measurement or in meters.

Diagnosis of the masticatory muscles using gnath dynamometry is performed in several stages:

1. Prepare the equipment: install scales, build in indicators, enter the logarithmic coefficient of elasticity of dental tissues; using clamps and springs, the equipment is secured to the lower jaw, resulting in stable fixation of the installation; 2. The patient assumes the position he uses in
