Granulomas are specific foci of inflammation of various organs and tissues, accompanied by disruption of their function and leading to the development of various diseases. They are formed under the influence of exogenous and endogenous factors (microorganisms, parasites, chemical and physical factors); localized in organs and tissues of various locations. They are caused by various diseases, especially infectious, allergic processes, autoimmune diseases and other diseases. Thanks to studies of the pathogenesis and morphology of granulomas, the basic principles of their therapy have been developed. The morphological characteristics of foci of inflammation in various diseases - granuloma, mixed granulomas, specific granulomas - are of great importance for diagnosis, establishing the cause of the disease and determining specific treatment methods
