Hallucinations Scene-like

Scene-like hallucinations

Scene-like hallucinations are a type of visual hallucination in which a person sees extensive scenes, pictures or events similar to theatrical performances. These hallucinations are detailed and realistic.

Scene-like hallucinations are often found in schizophrenia, epilepsy, and can also be caused by taking hallucinogenic substances. The patient sees complete episodes - for example, how people talk, argue, fight. Sometimes scene-like hallucinations are accompanied by auditory hallucinations.

Treatment for scene-like hallucinations includes drug therapy with antipsychotics and anticonvulsants. Psychotherapy is also carried out to identify and resolve internal conflicts that may provoke hallucinations.
