Hemiptera

Hemiptera (Hemiptera) is an order of insects characterized by the presence of semi-solid fore wings. Hemiptera include insects such as bugs, cicadas, scale insects and scale insects.

In hemipterans, the anterior part of the wing has a thickened chitinous membrane, and the posterior part of the wing is thin and transparent. This allows insects to bend and spread their wings. The oral apparatus of hemiptera is adapted for piercing and sucking plant juices.

Hemiptera are found everywhere and play an important role in ecosystems. Many species are crop pests and disease vectors. At the same time, some hemiptera are used for biological protection of plants from pests. The diversity of hemipteran species and their distribution indicates their high adaptability to various environmental conditions.
