Hylostasis

Chylostasis is a phenomenon characterized by a violation of the outflow of lymph due to a mechanical obstruction to its movement along the lymphatic pathways and vessels.

Etiology: the causes of chylostasis can be associated with various diseases or conditions in which patency is impaired or the lymphatic pathways are damaged. In rare cases, chylostasis can develop as a result of disorders of the musculoskeletal system or damage to blood vessels in the chest and abdomen (for example, after injuries, operations, long-term use of medications).

Clinical picture. Chylostasis is characterized by symptoms such as swelling, swelling and inflammation in the soft tissue area above a narrow lymphatic tract or vessel, impaired function and differentiation of the limbs, and enlarged lymph nodes. All these disorders are directly related to swelling of a certain area of the body. Symptoms develop very quickly, and painful changes can be detected within hours or even minutes. The main complaints may be severe swelling, severe pain, general weakness, and malaise. The affected part of the body becomes noticeably enlarged

Chylostasis in medicine is a syndrome characterized by congestion in the lymphatic vessels. Lymph stagnation develops when the lymph drainage system is disrupted, as a result of which the lymphatic fluid stops circulating throughout the body, accumulates in the lymph nodes, then begins to be deposited, and its reverse flow occurs.
