Radioisotope cholangiography

Cholangioradiography uses radiopharmaceuticals that are injected into the patient's (patient's) stomach as a liquid. The drug is diluted with food and further, by manipulating with special equipment, diluted in the required dose, after which it is taken orally by the patient or used to rinse the esophagus.

A cholangiographic examination is performed several hours after taking a special drug, due to which the drug from the intestines is introduced into the patient’s gallbladder. There it is colored, releasing bile pigment. This selection, accompanied by a radiogram, is carefully processed, the information is transmitted to a computer, which allows you to obtain a three-dimensional three-dimensional image of the gallbladder.
