Humerus Block

The trochlear humerus (trochlea humeri, pna, bna, jna) is a part of the humerus that is a block shaped like the letter V. This part of the humerus articulates with the ulna, forming the elbow joint.

The humeral block is located at the bottom of the humerus and is shaped like a saddle-shaped joint block. On the sides of the block are the condyles of the humerus - internal and external. The block is divided by a longitudinal groove into two articular surfaces - internal and external.

The inner surface of the humerus trochlea is wider and longer than the outer surface. It articulates with the internal condyle of the ulna, forming the medial compartment of the elbow joint.

The outer surface of the block is narrower and shorter than the inner one. It articulates with the lateral condyle of the ulna, forming the lateral compartment of the elbow joint.

Thus, the trochlea of the humerus is an important anatomical structure involved in the formation of the elbow joint and ensuring its mobility.
