Indapamide is manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Pro.Med.CS in the Czech Republic and is available in various dosage forms, including 2.5 mg capsules.

The main active ingredient of the drug is indapamide. It has a diuretic and hypotensive effect, helping to lower blood pressure and improve heart function. Indapamide is considered one of the most effective and well-tolerated drugs for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure.

The use of Indapa is regulated by the instructions for use. It is recommended for patients with arterial hypertension and chronic heart failure. However, there are some contraindications to its use, such as hypersensitivity to the drug, cerebrovascular accidents, severe liver failure, decompensated diabetes mellitus, gout, pregnancy and lactation. Before you start taking Indap, you should consult your doctor and make sure that there are no contraindications.

Like most medicines, Indap may have side effects. Some of these include weakness, orthostatic hypotension, hyperuricemia, hypokalemia, nausea, epigastric pain, diarrhea, cramps and allergic reactions. If you experience unwanted effects while using the drug, it is important to consult a doctor.

Indap may interact with some other medicines. It enhances the effect of antihypertensive drugs and increases the risk of hypokalemia when used simultaneously with potassium-sparing diuretics. Therefore, it is important to tell your doctor about all the medications you take to avoid unwanted interactions.

In case of overdose of Indap, symptoms such as weakness, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, respiratory depression and hypotension may occur. In such cases, you should immediately seek medical help.
