Coldrex - lemon powder: description, application and side effects

Coldrex Lemon Powder is one of many medications used to treat flu and cold symptoms. It contains three active ingredients: paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid.

Paracetamol is a pain reliever and antipyretic that helps lower body temperature and reduce pain and headaches. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is a vasoconstrictor that may help relieve nasal congestion and make breathing easier. Ascorbic acid is a vitamin C that helps strengthen the immune system and protect the body from infections.

Coldrex lemon powder is intended for oral administration after dilution in water. It is recommended for adults and children over 12 years of age to take 1-2 sachets every 4-6 hours if necessary, but not more than 8 sachets per day. The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.

Like other medicines, Coldrex may cause side effects. Some of these may include headache, nausea, vomiting, high blood pressure, palpitations and allergic reactions. If any unusual symptoms occur, seek medical attention.

It is also worth remembering that Coldrex may interact with other medications, so you should consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking it.
