What is Corti?
Corti's neurons are cortical-pyramidal neurons of the auditory nerve, located in the medial temporal gyrus of the cerebral cortex, bordering the septum pellucidum at the point of their intersection. Corti's axons form the lateral part of the auditory radiation. They pick up sound vibrations and transmit their impulses to the auditory center in the back of the cerebral cortex.
