Acetabular Bone

**The acetabulum bone** is one of the largest and most important bones in the body. It is located in the pelvic area, connects to other bones and performs many functions. It has an oval shape and consists of two surfaces - external and internal. Inside there is a cavity filled with liquid. The outer edge of the bone has a depression called the socket.

The bone serves as an important support element for the various muscles that are attached to it. It also plays the role of a shock absorber when moving. In addition, this bone is involved in the formation of many internal organs and systems, including the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system.

It has a special extension called the “neck”, which provides a more reliable connection with other tissues. Thanks to this, the bone does not slip during movement.
