Laiproquin: An effective antimicrobial drug from India

Laiproquin, also known by its international name Ciprofloxacin, is a powerful antimicrobial agent belonging to the fluoroquinolone group. It is manufactured in India by Laika Labs Ltd and is widely used to treat various infections.

Liproquin is effective against a wide range of bacteria due to its active ingredient, ciprofloxacin. It is available in the form of tablets containing 250 mg or 500 mg of the active substance.

The drug is used to treat infections of various organs and systems of the body. It is effective for infections of the ENT organs, such as otitis media, sinusitis, pharyngitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections, including acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and bronchiectasis. Lyproquin is also indicated for infections of the pelvic organs, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, sexually transmitted diseases, abdominal infections, bacteremia, septicemia, as well as severe infections associated with immunodeficiency and neutropenia. In addition, topical Lyproquin can be used to treat infectious and inflammatory eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis and bacterial corneal ulcers.

Despite its high effectiveness, Lyproquin has some contraindications.
