Despite its effectiveness, Lexotan has some contraindications. It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines, drug or alcohol dependence, or myasthenia gravis. The use of Lexotan should also be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Like any medicine, Lexotan may cause side effects. These may include headache, dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, impaired concentration, slowed mental and motor reactions, weakened memory, agitation, aggressiveness, fear, sleep disorder, hallucinations, ataxia, muscle weakness, suicidal tendencies, dry mouth, increased appetite, nausea, diarrhea, impaired liver and kidney function, arterial hypotension, decreased libido and changes in peripheral blood patterns.

The interaction of Lexotan with other medications should also be taken into account. It can enhance the effect of other centrally acting drugs, alcohol and drugs. In addition, Lexotan may alter the pharmacokinetics of certain drugs, such as anticoagulants, antiepileptics and some antidepressants.

It is important to consult with your doctor or pharmacist before starting to take Lexotan to evaluate the indications, contraindications, and possible side effects. The dosage and duration of taking the drug must be determined individually by the doctor depending on the patient’s condition.
