Mebex

Mebex is a drug used for intestinal helminthiases. It is manufactured in India by Cipla Ltd. and has the international name mebendazole. Mebex is available in two dosage forms - 100 mg tablets and 100 mg suspension.

The active substance of the drug is mebendazole, which has an effect on a wide range of parasites, including enterobiasis, ascariasis, strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, multiple nematodes, echinococcus, taeniasis and alveococcus.

Mebex is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, liver diseases and with a transit increase in the activity of aminotransferrol, alkaline phosphates and blood urea.

The drug may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, insomnia, visual disturbances and allergic reactions.
