Dosage forms: retard tablets 100 mg
Composition: Active substance - isosorbide mononitrate.

Indications for use: Angina pectoris (prevention), post-infarction period, chronic heart failure (combination therapy).

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, acute myocardial infarction with reduced left ventricular filling pressure, cardiogenic shock, vascular collapse, severe arterial hypotension (with blood pressure less than 90 mm Hg), hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, constrictive pericarditis, cardiac tamponade, cerebral hemorrhages, primary pulmonary hypertension, glaucoma, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Side effect: “Nitrate” headache; hypotension (including orthostatic), accompanied by reflex tachycardia, lethargy, dizziness, weakness; nausea, vomiting, erythema, methemoglobinemia, allergic reactions.

Interaction: The effect is enhanced by vasodilators, calcium antagonists, tricyclic antidepressants, and alcohol. Barbiturates accelerate biotransformation and reduce the concentration of isosorbide mononitrate in the blood.

Overdose: Symptoms: increased severity of adverse reactions. Treatment: monitoring of vital functions, symptomatic therapy.

Special instructions: Prescribe with caution to patients with glaucoma and increased intracranial pressure. Should not be used to relieve an attack of angina. It is not recommended to drive a car during treatment (concentration and reaction speed decrease).
