Opsomenorrhea

Opsomenorrhea is a pathological condition in which menstruation becomes irregular, and also significantly decreases in volume or stops completely. This can be caused by various reasons, such as hormonal disorders, inflammatory processes in the pelvic organs, cystic ovarian formations, stress, deficiency of vitamins and minerals, as well as hereditary predisposition.

Opsomenorrhea can manifest itself either as the absence of menstruation for a long time, or as frequent and irregular menstruation. In the first case, this can lead to the development of anemia and other complications associated with deficiency of iron and other microelements. In the second case, opsomenorea can cause psycho-emotional stress and reproductive dysfunction.

To diagnose opsomenorrhea, it is necessary to conduct a gynecological examination, ultrasound of the pelvic organs, blood tests for hormones and other studies. Treatment of opsomenoria depends on the cause of its occurrence and may include hormonal therapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, vitamin complexes and other methods.
