**Pyelotomy** is a method of percutaneous surgical intervention that involves breaking the integrity of the posterior wall of the renal pelvis in order to drain urine stagnation in pyelonephritis, urolithiasis, kidney tuberculosis, etc.

**Indications for surgery:** Acute unilateral inflammatory process of the kidneys, pyelitis, pyelonephritis

Impaired patency of the renal pelvis due to obstruction by stones
