A pint

A pint is a volume that is usually approximately 460-500 milliliters of liquid, but may be larger or smaller depending on the country and region of origin. The name "Pinta" is of Spanish origin and was originally used to refer to the stain left by spilled liquid. Over time, the name came to mean not only a stain, but also any small volume of liquid, including water, beer, wine, tea and other drinks.
