Psychosis Manic-Depressive

**Manic-depressive psychosis** is a painful state of the human psyche, which manifests itself in the form of mood disorders, exacerbation of desires and delusional ideas. It can be caused by both somatic and mental factors.

Psychoses combining manic and depressive features were first described by the German psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler in 1911 as part of a unique clinical classification. He considers these manifestations as manifestations of transient syndromekinesis, classified as demented, the initial picture of which is often manic or euphoric, and the subsequent development is depressive with depressed mood. The signs described in depression and mania do not fully reflect the clinical picture: manifestations of delirium or confusion that appear in manic and depressive psychoses do not occur in the latter two.

Manic and depressive psychosis

Manic and depressive psychosis is a mental disorder characterized by disturbances in thinking, perception and behavior. This condition can occur in both women and men and is quite common in the population.

**Manic psychosis** is accompanied by excessive activity, elevated mood, a sense of self-confidence, but is also accompanied by irritability, excessive activity and unpredictability in behavior. People with manic symptoms are often prone to rapid speech, irrational thinking, euphoria, and unreasonable love.

Manic people may have inappropriate reactions to various events, such as minor stimuli or compliments, as well as increased risks of financial loss and accidents, such as acts of violence or suicide.

Manic symptoms may subside and patients may feel normal for several days or weeks until symptoms begin to return. However, if signs of manic psychosis persist for a long period of time, it can lead to serious consequences for personality and social functioning.

Depression has similar symptoms to mania, but the patient experiences a feeling of sadness for a long time. A person becomes inactive, he develops psychosomatic disorders, a depressed person becomes withdrawn, she or he constantly thinks about how to improve his condition and make his life more productive.
