Abdominal syndrome: a new name in medicine
As you know, abdominal pain syndrome is a group of symptoms that can be accompanied by various manifestations, both in the form of periodic abdominal pain, and in the form of stool disturbances, bloating and other related disorders. It is a common condition that occurs for a variety of reasons and can cause discomfort and limitations in daily life. However, the medical community has not always been able to accurately define and classify this condition.
Today, there are several terminologies for this condition, such as “irritable bowel syndrome” or “ulcerative colitis”, and numerous others. Among them, the new term "abdominal syndrome" is becoming increasingly popular and relevant in the scientific community and has clear advantages for patients and doctors. Importantly, this term describes a wide range of diseases, and doctors have the opportunity to improve the accuracy of research and study in this area.
The first significant case of registration and spread of abdominal syndrome took place in 2015 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The research team noticed that a number of symptoms caused by abdominal syndrome appeared to be similar across tests and studies. And while previous studies had been scattered across various papers, this work is the first to show that these diseases may actually share the same background. It turned out that pathogens with each symptomatic reaction can change the nature of the abdominal cavity.
Characteristic symptoms of abdominal syndrome include gurgling gas, gas or loose stools, decreased appetite, and frequent constipation. Also, a person who develops abdominal syndrome may suffer from chronic fatigue, weakness and other disorders in his body. Overall, this syndrome affects the individual and those around him and is a cause for concern, especially when it comes to younger audiences and digitally enabled generations.
From the point of view of experts, the cause of the development of abdominal syndromes is at the level of the genetic and hormonal systems of the body, but often it is also added to by poor nutrition, alcohol consumption and other external factors. Until now, abdominal syndrome has received little attention from medical science, in particular due to the difficulties in establishing an accurate diagnosis based on it. However, it has become one of the most common diseases in the world in recent years.
