Suggestion Verbal

Suggestion is the purposeful, unreasoned influence of one person on another, carried out through the suggestion of thoughts, feelings (emotions), influence while awake, while falling asleep, in hypnosis, and also in dreams.

Verbal - from Latin “speech”, or sounding word, denoting all types of human activity associated with sounding human speech: pronunciation, perception, understanding and production of speech using words of natural language in oral or written form.

Suggestion can be implicit (implicit, subtextual) or open. According to the method of presentation, a distinction is made between direct, open suggestion (i.e., communicating information directly to the addressee) and indirect, indirect (through the transmission of messages to third parties).

There are different ways to influence with words. For example, hypnotic suggestion, verbal suggestion, suggestive statement. The effectiveness of suggestion is determined by such criteria as the suggestibility of a speech utterance (suggestibility, persuasiveness), the power of suggestion, the recipient’s need to receive information on this issue, the level of intellectual and motivational readiness of the addressee, the duration and frequency of use of speech, the authority (authority) of the speaker.
