Dosage forms: powder for the preparation of solution for intravenous and intramuscular administration 1g
Composition: Active substance - Cefazolin.

Indications for use: Respiratory tract infections, septicemia, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, wound infection, infected burns, peritonitis, urinary and biliary tract infections.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, including to other beta-lactam antibiotics, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pain in the epigastric region, pseudomembranous colitis, increased concentrations of liver enzymes (AST, ALT, alkaline phosphatase, LDH) in the blood, leukopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, lymphocytosis, hemolytic anemia, candidomycosis, allergic manifestations (skin rashes, itching, toxic epidermal necrosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, erythema multiforme, angioedema, anaphylactic shock), reactions at the injection site: the formation of infiltrates and abscesses, phlebitis and thrombophlebitis.

Interaction: Probenecid slows excretion and promotes accumulation.

Overdose: No information.

Special instructions: The simultaneous use of oral anticoagulants and diuretics (furosemide, ethacrynic acid) is not recommended. Prescribe with caution to patients with severe renal dysfunction and gastrointestinal diseases.
