Enteroproctostomy

Enteroproctostomy is a surgical treatment method in which two anastomoses are inserted into the colon and rectum through the anterior abdominal wall, which ensure the flow of intestinal contents into the abdominal cavity and the outflow of intestinal contents into the intestinal lumen.

Enteroproctostome is used to treat the following diseases:

  1. ulcerative colitis;
  2. Crohn's disease;
  3. diverticular disease;
  4. polyposis;
  5. rectal tumor;
  6. cicatricial strictures of the rectum.

Enterostomy is a surgical operation during which a colostomy is formed - an intestinal-rectal or colorectal fistula, and then the colon is removed into the postoperative wound. Promotes the removal of intestinal contents and gases if other methods are not effective, as it prevents blockage of the intestines with feces
